Ayurveda Method Of Treatment For Asthma

Inflammation in the airways of the lungs and bronchial tubes causes asthma attacks in human beings. Though, there is no medicine for treating this ailment, patients can follow some preventive measures to control its recurrences. Pancharkarma Method Of Treatment For Asthma

This phase of treatment is mainly carried out to relax the mind and body along with toxin elimination.
Pre purification method includes Dhoomapanam, Abhyangam, Thakradhara, Swedanam and Vasthi. Vamanam and Virechanam come under the main purification phase. Depending upon the intensity and  type of the asthma, the doctor may advise the patient to undergo one or two or all three therapies. People having history of severe asthma attacks are generally advised to undergo all the therapies for effective result. Strict dietary restrictions are also prescribed to the patients during the purification phases for quicker results.

Rasayana Therapies
These body nourishing therapies are normally prescribed only after completion of Panchakarma treatments and are great for body and mind rejuvenation. Rasayana therapies includes diet regulation and oral medicines 

Oral Medicines
Kashayams, choornams, lehyams containing amalaki, liquorice root, tulasi, black pepper, clove, turmeric are prescribed to asthmatics for long term asthma management.

They are specially designed for better digestion, digestive fire control and overall well-being, so that the body organs can get proper nutrition and rest.
